Motorola Moto G6 Play Review

If you are looking around for an elegant phone to boast around it in front of your friends than this is the right opportunity for you. Motorola is finally up with its new Moto G6 Play after the launch of Moto G6. The best feature that will arouse you the most is the 18:9 display trend which has taken the market to a whole new segment. But the question is Can the Moto G6 Play find its way out in this competitive market against handsets like Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5? Let’s find it out with the Motorola Moto G6 Play Review.

Design and Display

The looks that the handset brings in makes the handset looks costlier that it is actually. Highly polished metal midframe with circula rear module camera is something that is very much carried from the old Moto G6. Making it more elegant the credits goes to the polymer glass at the back of the device. However, good it looks it is made of plastic with high-gloss finish on it. Top-notch is what you get as the build quality. Well, if was up to me I would have definitely rated it 8/10 according to the looks.

Camera

Coming to the camera specification, the handset comes with a 13 megapixel camera at the rear which is well fixed with an aperture of f/2.0. In the front, you can find an 8 megapixel camera which will suit you the best for a perfect selfie in daylight. Well, we don’t take any claim of photography in night or low light situations. Decent photography has been observed in the case of good light, however, the dynamic range was found to be poor and the tendency to overexpose shots is very common.

Video recording on the other hand showed better results.

Hardware and Software

This can be the most crucial part of the handset that you want to know. So, we will prefer to go slow and soft here because we don’t want to miss any of the details here. Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4 GHz is what you find here. Compared to the market competition, we find smartphones like Asis Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Realme 1 which are powered by more powerful processor, Snapdragon 636 and Helio P60 respectively. Therefore, you can be the one to judge what you should go for.

A single variant of this handset is available in India at Rs 11,999 respectively which will bring in 3 GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. You can use SD card to expand the memory.

If you are planning to play big sized game using this handset than it can be a difficult call for you. The specification as mentioned can’t allow you an error free ambiance with such high graphics games. However, short entertainment games are well-appreciated.

Battery and Other Features

The battery mAh is something that will make you go crazy for device. It is powered by a 4000 mAh battery which will make sure that all your hard works are paid off without any interruption regarding power providing.

Apart from the details above all the connectivity requirement that are available in a middle-featured handsets are also available here. We don’t expect much and neither should you because the price of the handset is set at quite less.

The final verdict on the handset can only be that it is a good looking handset that can attract others but when it comes to performance, it can face real trouble in the market.
